CONTEST

Contest period: Each Contest entry period (each a “Contest Period”) shall start and end as indicated on synergycu.ca/en/financially-forward/contest (the “Contest Website”) after which time the Contest will be closed and no other entries shall be accepted.

Draw dates: The winning name will be drawn within one (1) week of the deadline for each contest period.

How to enter: NO PURCHASE IS NECESSARY. VOID IN WHOLE OR IN PART WHERE PROHIBITED BY LAW. ENTRY IN THE CONTESTS CONSTITUTES ACCEPTANCE OF THESE CONTEST RULES (THE “CONTEST RULES”).

To enter prior to the end of an applicable Contest Period, read our story on the Financially Forward landing page on the Synergy Credit Union website, complete and submit the Contest entry form as instructed for a chance to win one of three prizes during the Financially Forward campaign period. Each Contest prize shall have an approximate retail value between one hundred Canadian dollars (CDN $100.00) and five hundred Canadian dollars (CDN $500.00) and shall be announced and described on our social media channels, in-branch displays, and website. Winners shall not be entitled to receive the difference between the actual prize value and the approximate prize value.

Limit of one (1) entry per person per contest period, unless otherwise indicated. In the case of multiple entries, only the first eligible entry will be considered and the remainder will be void.

The individual must correctly answer each question and submit the form in order to be placed into each draw. When a winner* is selected, they will no longer be eligible for remaining draws. A Synergy Credit Union representative will attempt to contact the winner and the winner must reply back to Synergy Credit Union within 14 days of their name being pulled. If contact is not successful, the name drawn is forfeit and a new winner will be selected. The winner must come into their nearest Synergy Credit union branch to collect their prize.

* To be eligible, the winner:

• cannot be or live in the same household as a Synergy Credit Union staff member or a member of the Board of Directors,

• does not have to be a current member of Synergy Credit Union,

• must be a Canadian resident.

CONSENT

By entering this contest, contestants agree to the following:

• Grant permission for Synergy Credit Union to publish the winner’s name and/or photograph as it sees fit without remuneration for Synergy’s website, digital banking application, social media accounts, print materials, advertising, in branch use or posters.
• In giving this consent, I release Synergy Credit Union, their nominees and designees from any and all liability for any violation of any personal or proprietary right I may have in connection with such sale, reproduction or use. I certify that I am of legal age and consent and have the legal authority to execute this consent and release. I approve the foregoing and waive any rights in the premises.
• I understand that this consent is in addition to, and not in substitution for, any other consent, express or implied, which I have given Synergy Credit Union to collect, use and disclose my personal information. This consent may be withdrawn by contacting Synergy Credit Union using the information above.
• If I withdraw consent, I acknowledge that existing publications will not be withdrawn from circulation.
• Personal information held by Synergy Credit Union will be retained and destroyed in accordance with Synergy Credit Union’s retention of records policies and privacy legislation.
