Why do my statements come in so many envelopes?

Due to the new Federal Privacy Act, to protect you as a consumer, we are required to keep accounts separate for your statements, unless you request otherwise. It is all part of the movement toward greater security both within Canada and elsewhere. We value you as a member and want to ensure that your privacy is protected as well. Within those parameters, though, we can still put our member’s wishes first.

The good news is, you have the flexibility to have your statements individually or as a package, depending on your preferences. Plus, with our new banking system, you do have the option to customize your statements as you wish, which offers the convenience and service you have grown to expect and appreciate.  Our new banking system allows for linking of your statements, which lets you receive all of your accounts in one convenient statement if you want to – or to have some linked and others separate.

While we’re on the subject, another convenient way to keep track of your accounts is electronically, through our digital banking services. You can access this information any time, knowing it is as current as you can possibly get. More and more of our members are finding the Synergy web site to be their own “branch”, open 24/7 – answering questions, performing transactions, helping you plan, and keeping you completely up to date and in control of your hard-earned money. What’s more, you can name your accounts as you wish, such as “Vacation Fund”, “Renovation Fund” or “Spoiling the Grandchildren”!  Once again, that makes your finances more personal – with no numbers to worry about or memorize – while accomplishing your goals.
