National Day for Truth and Reconciliation

We are humbled to continue to do our part to reflect on what Truth and Reconciliation means as a partner with our Indigenous partners and communities. All of our branches will be closed on September 30 to provide an opportunity for reflection and participation in educational opportunities. At Synergy Credit Union, we are committed to Truth and Reconciliation.

This year, we sponsored the Bear’s Lair Indigenous Youth Entrepreneurship Dream Camp at Onion Lake, a 4-day camp to feed the spirit of Indigenous Youth entrepreneurs.

We also collaborated with Indigenous artists to create an art piece to celebrate our 80th Anniversary and supported the construction of the Kakisimokamik gathering space at Holy Rosary High School in Lloydminster.

In addition, we:

We encourage everyone to participate on September 30 by wearing an orange shirt, finding a community event, watching a documentary or exploring other educational resources that are available. If you have questions regarding Synergy’s commitment to Truth and Reconciliation, please feel free to use the Speak to the CEO form.
