Building Bridges: Welcoming Women’s Mentorship Participants to Synergy

From June 6-15, Synergy Credit Union welcomes two ladies as guests and mentees as part of the Co-operative Development Foundation (CDF) of Canada Women’s Mentorship Program (WMP), and we couldn’t be more excited!

Joining us from Ghana is Angela Arko Nyaneba, who holds an MBA in Finance and a Bachelor of Business Management. Angela serves as the Manager at the St. Gabriel’s Co-operative Credit Union. During her stay, she is warmly hosted by Anne Bisson, Branch Manager, at our Neilburg Branch. Angela aims to develop skills in community empowerment, social responsibility, and member-centric communications to ensure sustainable growth and a positive impact within her credit union and beyond.

Also joining us is Grace Wanjiru Kung’u from Kenya, who holds a Bachelor of Business Administration and a Certificate in Public Accounting. Grace is the CEO at Joinas SACCO Society Ltd. She is graciously hosted by Melissa Rose, Branch Manager, at our Paradise Hill Branch. Grace seeks to enhance her skills in managing loan portfolios, expanding membership, and fostering proactive teams through the WMP.

The opportunity to come to Canada and participate in the Women’s Mentorship Program (WMP) is a unique and enriching professional development experience for Angela and Grace. They are excited about the invaluable learnings they gain and look forward to applying them in their day-to-day work back in Africa. We are delighted to have them with us and to support their growth and success.
