Synergy Credit Union provides over $10,000 in scholarship each year.

Scholarships are awarded annually to successful applicants from participating high schools within the communities Synergy
Credit Union serves.

How does it work?

Eligibility of Applicant:
• Has been in full-time attendance.
• Has submitted the required application form.
• At the time of awarding the scholarship, the applicant is enrolled full time in post-secondary studies in a university, college, technical school or other recognized institution.

Selection Criteria:
A Selection Committee reviews and weighs the following criteria:
• Academic achievement.
• School and community involvement.
• Leadership responsibilities within the school community.
• Personal qualities consistent with good citizenship.

If potential recipients are judged to be equally deserving of the scholarship, the scholarship will be awarded to the applicant who has received less scholarship money.
The Selection Committee shall give all eligible applications fair and equal consideration.

Application Procedure

The applicant shall provide the following documents for the consideration of the
Selection Committee:
• Completed application form (available at participating high schools).
• Transcript of secondary school marks.
• A personal resume.

The above shall be mailed or delivered to the participating high school.

Receipt of Scholarship

The scholarship will be awarded at the annual awards ceremony and paid when confirmation of enrollment is received. Award will be forfeited if the recipient does not attend a post-secondary institution within one year of receipt of the scholarship.
